The new, SS2-Team Roping Simulator has all of the most used features of the original Slick-Stick™ patent yet is designed to be more economical for the individual consumer. Some of the seldom used, expensive electrical components have been removed and improved with mechanical substitutes. The SS2 can be transported without a specially built trailer and fits through a standard walk door if you want to locate it indoors. By simply changing a locking pin the SS2 can be changed from a variety of heading positions or into heeling positions. The distance slider to the steer has been extended and is easily moved by simply sliding the horse into the exact position you desire. The SS2 has a more functional, manual rotation system which allows your swing location to be more clearly understood and practiced. The SS2 heavy duty, removable outriggers replace the cumbersome deck and a removable 4 x 6 ft. platform. (interchangeable for right or left handed heelers) is used for the roping platform. The quality and integrity of the original Slick-Stick™ is greatly improved with this new product. The only drawback to the original Slick-Stick was the price. With the improvements evolved into the new SS2 we are pleased to be able to offer this new model at almost half price of the original Slick-Stick™ and transport trailer. Oh yes, and the SS2 is very professionally built and looks great near your barn, tack room or located in your arena.

BUILT FOR PERFECT PRACTICE

Designed to allow physical therapy training methods to work, the SS2 has the designed-in ability to allow team ropers to accomplish in months what it took years to learn by conventional methods.

  • New maneuvers or updated style changes that used to take months to learn can be accomplished in weeks.
  • Beginning ropers can learn to successfully compete in weeks instead of months or years.
  • Correct anaerobic strength (the catalyst for muscle memory) can be safely increased far beyond conventional training methods.

HEADING MODE

Your saddled, life-size horse is set to the precise position where you want to practice. Rope, drag your slack, daily and lift on your reins. Watch and learn the correct sight patterns as you practice again and again from the height and distance of your perfect training position. Move the locking pin to move to a different position and change the distance to the steer to practice a variety of practice situations.
HEELING MODE

The saddled, life-sized horse and steer are set to simulate actual roping conditions. The steer lopes with his body and hind legs moving in heeling rhythm. Practice from a fixed position or manually swing the steer and horse through the heeling corner to simulate your favorite practice position. Change your distance to the steer and set-up another heeling "situation."

WHY IT WORKS

The Slick-Stick™ Team Roping Simulator is designed around the physics of team roping including the orbit and speed of the loop, opposite and equal reactions, and force and momentum, calculations. This information combined with physical therapy, muscle training methods, clearly identifies not just what you need to know to rope effectively, but "why" things happen and "how" you can control the results to your advantage. The SS2-Team Roping Simulator allows:

  • Perfect, repeat practice for developing motor planning skills (muscle memory).
  • Rotational and animated maneuvers to develop visual orientation (the correct sight picture).
  • Engineered, adjustable distance control to develop spatial perception (the correct place to put your horse to increase your roping percentage).
  • Elimination of variables that hinder your roping and training.
  • Safe, controlled, practical, perfect practice.
